How did I become part of the Acolada team?
A question I was spontaneously addressed in the presentation that we supported at the inauguration of our design and architecture brand. A question I did not fully answer at that time, somehow taking me unprepared. A question, however, that could not be left unanswered for too long.
Certainly, it is not easy for other young people to make their own thoughts, to bring a bit of clarity to the decision moments in their lives. Neither did I have done better, not knowing exactly why they are making choices or where they will go later. As I graduated from the architecture faculty, the process through which I became an architect, the internship and my present at Acolada took place swiftly, as if the current road drew me to him, without realizing it, until I arrived already here. From the moment I recognized who I am and at what level I am, things have become clearer and, within the current team, I have begun receiving answers to questions I did not even know.
I think we have all heard the phrase “Take care what you want, that it may happen.”
For me it was as real as possible, in a positive sense, life, giving me so much more than I ever wanted. After years of intense study, I am now part of a wonderful story, thoughtfully and inspired by my colleagues, namely creating a business concept based on a design and architecture service, interior and exterior, with step and budget management, but also with a detailed analysis of the needs and priorities of the beneficiaries or the personality and family traits.
Most people are in love with the idea of achieving the ultimate concept, whether it’s about getting a product, interior design, architecture for a home or, in our case, the existence of a company that encompasses all . The most exciting and, indeed, exciting part is the whole process of reaching that quality concept that we all want. Understanding the idea of ”work in progress” and the importance of these steps make the difference at the end of the assessment of the quality and characteristics of the product obtained.
On this side, I still have a lot to learn, many steps up and sacrifices to do. Thank God I am surrounded by inspired people, that I am part of this team in which I learn to develop a new attitude, to accept and to address the challenges in a constructive way, understanding that nothing sustainable builds on a solid foundation , “Brick by brick”.
Looking back, I noticed that it took only one step to this new team, after which things got out of their own accord. The day I took the courage to look at my life a little differently than before was the step towards submitting a resume and participating in the job interview. From then on, until now, the time went on as quickly as I did not know how to keep up with him, when I slowly settled down, to settle all this new knowledge that I assimilate. It is still hard for me to leave behind the frustrations of the past, the things done to my detriment so far, and to give up some of the information received during the school years, which have been translated into the real world, are not so effective and beneficial to me or the clients. Every day I learn to “tear apart from me”, to give up what I know and to leave a new way of thinking in the daily work process. In other words, it is a lot of work with myself as regards personality, concepts, vision or perspective on life. And this besides the technical information baggage that I have to continually improve on designing spaces as in harmony with those who will use them. This is the advantage of teamwork – to share information, knowledge, to provide what you master and to get help when you need it.
For example, a fundamental concept, which I found as a basic principle within the Acolada team, and which I have met many times over my years of study, but which I have never given so much much of importance now, was the approach of the spaces from the inside to the outside.
It is not a new notion, for example, found in the organic architecture of Frank Lloyd Wright, a renowned architect of the Modernist period, but also in the works of other contemporary designers or architects. The source of inspiration was the mother nature itself, which provided us with the most eloquent example of the natural evolution of the creative processes. Let’s look at how a tree is born and developed. Out of the seed planted in the soil will come the leek, which will eventually become a towering tree. The annual rings visible in its section are the indisputable proof of its evolution from seed to tree, that is, from the inside to the outside. The biomimetic architecture has taken over this fundamental principle of creation, relying on the idea “Nature did it first and did it better”.
For me it was a pleasant surprise to see within this group, which I am now glad to share, a great desire to do things naturally, as nature teaches us.
For us to create quality projects means to always look from the inside to the outside, whether we refer to the interior of each of us transposed into the outer space in which we manifest ourselves daily or that we are talking about the design of a home, interiors and family personality, and then expanding on its exterior architectural form.
So far, Acolada has shown me that if I want to make a change in my life I have to start from the inside and someday I will see how things have changed outside. I understand that I can get to what I dream with much effort and determination, with perseverance and patience.
The story I’m part of does not end here, nor my aspirations and dreams. One day, I would like to design an organic, naturally and naturally thought-out city, from the inside to the outside, with dwellings and buildings created in harmony with the people who live there. One day…
