A narrow land with a significant slope can be considered inappropriate for a functional project and with an acceptable design. We would say, on the contrary, that such a land is ideal for a non-conformist beneficiary, open to a minimalist architecture, based on the alternation of volumes on different levels and with varying heights.
Therefore, the house official was designed to be located, especially, on narrow and sloping ground, architects cleverly and creatively solving all the challenges that such a location could have raised. At the same time, the house can be successfully designed between two existing heels on the long sides of the site, without any inconvenience of living. Thus, the whole house receives natural light in the spaces of interest, from the direction of the main and the rear facade, as well as from a small inner courtyard, centrally located.
Alternation of steps and semi-levels, aesthetic and functional balance
Modern housing needs have generated a concept of housing division in two main areas of interest, generically called day and night, independent as practical utility and arranged on different floors, the function of each space determining its positioning in the plan. Thus, both the ground floor and the floor enjoy a more atypical treatment of the interior placement, living room opposite the food preparation and serving area, as well as the matrimonial rest area in front of the two guest rooms, being located on different semi-levels, which creates a dynamic visual, but also useful in the functional separation of the house.
The architecture designed for the user’s benefit must be designed from the inside to the outside, in order to optimize a flow adapted to the specific of each family, according to daily activities and hobbies, only in this way could the dream that was the basis of the project become reality. The exterior form of the construction has the role of harmoniously dressing the interior partition in architectural elements and decorative details, with the help of which the whole ensemble acquires the architect’s personality, combined with the uniqueness of the beneficiaries.
