A dwelling in the residential complex “Newton – intelligent apartments” in Iaşi, with an IT owner, needed an arrangement in which the aesthetic to combine with the functional one, where simplicity would be appreciated and the design accents would be discrete, but impactful.
If we are talking about intelligent design then we are talking about ingenious compartments, functional layouts and innovative solutions for solving the challenges and, last but not least, the discovery of all the practical and aesthetic needs of the beneficiary.
Creating an intimate day room distinct from the entrance area was possible by designing a two-sided wall separating wall: dressing for the hallway and continuing the wall-to-living decorative wall.
Also, the entire living space was divided, just from the location of the furniture, into several areas of interest: living, dining, kitchen and a breakfast area. Taking advantage of the city’s wide view, it was chosen to include the balcony in the daytime area, the summer being perfect for relaxation and rest.
The design element that unites all the rooms is represented by the luminaires. In this arrangement, they exceed the level of their function, enlightenment, and become true decorative objects which, along with other carefully chosen decorations, are worthy of the retro-industrial style.
